The 10 biggest Charters Towers house sales so far this year

Data provided by CoreLogic shows the median sale price of $205,000 over the last 12 months, but this year there have been a number of sales that are more than double that.

The median house sale price for Charters Towers over the last year was $205,000, but already this year there have been some sales with much higher values in the town.

According to Property Value by CoreLogic the median sales price has seen a change of up to 15 per cent in some suburbs.

The following properties have sold for more than double that price, with most of them in a semirural environment, with a few acres around them.

The biggest sale in town is a heritage listed property of local historical significance.

2. 98 Josh Rd, Southern Cross – sold for $540,000 on April 29 by Tarja Barnes of Gold City Realty

3. 4A Kirrima Court, Toll – sold for $510,000 on March 17 by Gail Hooper of Geaney’s Real Estate

4. 183 Weir Rd, Toll — sold for $470,000 on April 14 by Gail Hooper of Geaney’s Real Estate

5. 82 Aberdeen Road, Mosman Park — sold for $450,000 on March 24 by Tarja Barnes of Gold City Realty

6. 15 Jackson St, Columbia — sold for $450,000 on May 31 by Gail Hooper of Geaney’s Real Estate

7. 18 Crameri Lane, Millchester — sold for $430,000 on February 22 by Greg Banks of NQ Realty

8. 9 Jackson St, Columbia — sold for $420,000 on May 14 by Gail Hooper of Geaney’s Real Estate

9. 19 Lynd Highway, Toll — sold for $380,000 on May 6, private sale

10. 63 Hodgkinson St, Charters Towers City — sold for $380,000 on May 19 by Gail Hooper of Geaney’s Real Estate
