It is now hard to ignore the evolving situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19). Being prepared for various scenarios seems to be the best advice at present, and one of those scenarios is limiting on-site work as much as possible to minimise contact. Therefore I will be doing as much as possible remotely for the next few weeks, or until otherwise advised.
The office will be closed to walk in’s however the day to day operations will be running as normal, until advised otherwise by the Queensland/Australian Government.
All appointments from today on will be via phone, skype or zoom link.
Gold City Realty takes the safety of its tenants, landlords, clients and tradespeople very seriously and I have taken best practice recommendations from The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) & the Australian Government to implement practical preventative measures to ensure everyone remains safe.
During this time we are approaching this situation with calmness and common sense and hope to work with you to keep everyone safe and business flowing as relatively normal as is practically possible.
What you need to know;
- At this stage I am postponing all routine inspections until further notice. This may change in the coming weeks to virtual live routine inspections.
- All general maintenance will go ahead as approved. However, this may be slow due to trade unavailability as the virus spreads & more & more tenants go into self-isolation.
- We are currently no longer carrying out vacant house inspection. Virtual live inspections on vacant properties can be made available upon request.
- We are not able to carry out open house inspections of properties while tenants remain in possession if they show any signs of being unwell or deny access due to their own concerns of safety.
We will continue to take best practice advice from The REIQ and the Australian Government as it comes to hand, and we will keep you informed of any changes.
I hope you and your family stay well through these uncertain and unprecedented times.
As ever, I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, so please feel free to call or email me.
